Social Media Executive
Folkstone, Kent
About Us
Mission Aviation Fellowship UK (MAF) is a Christian organisation that, for over 75 years, has been flying light aircraft over remote locations around the world. Our efforts have enabled more than 2,000 aid, development and mission organisations to provide emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope to remote communities.
We utilise the power of aviation and technology to reach isolated people in need around the globe as we believe nothing should stop people from receiving the essentials of life no matter how remote they are.
By helping to link communities isolated from today’s ‘connected world’, we are ensuring that the severity of medical emergencies, natural disasters, conflict and famine are reduced and the light of God now shines brightly there.
We are now seeking a Social Media Executive to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis working 36 hours per week.
The Benefits
- Salary of £32,200 per annum
- Annual leave entitlement of 22 days per year plus the Christmas/New Year office
closure and 8 paid public holidays per year
- Non-contributory pension scheme
- We welcome hybrid working in line with the needs of the business and the requirements of the role. This will be discussed at interview.
This is an excellent opportunity for a social media and community management professional to join our crucial organisation.
In this highly engaging and rewarding role, you will have the chance to showcase your creative talents and expand your professional portfolio whilst gaining insight into the international development and charity sector.
The Role
As a Social Media Executive, you will raise awareness of, and engagement with, our organisation and our mission through effective social media management.
Specifically, you will create, schedule and deliver content that engages supporters, maximises impact and captures the attention of new audiences.
You will test, monitor and measure the performance of content and campaigns, using analytics and social user engagement to improve our messaging.
Additionally, you will:
- Ensure our content is aligned with our values
- Identify new platforms, trends and opportunities
- Support the Communications and Marketing Team to create content
About You
To be considered as our Social Media Executive, you will need:
- Experience of social media and community management (paid and organic)
- Proven experience of testing and analysis
- Experience of or a proven interest in, international development or aviation
- Knowledge of the social media landscape and familiarity with major channels
- An understanding of key performance metrics and toolkits including Google Analytics and conversion and/or event tracking.
- The ability to create engaging and effective content
- Excellent communication skills
- A degree (or equivalent)
Knowledge of Adobe suite design software would be highly beneficial, as would knowledge of APIs between CRMs and social platforms. Digital communications training or a marketing qualification would be advantageous.
We are looking for an imaginative, finger-on-the-pulse, digitally savvy professional to join our team and stand with us for the world’s most isolated people. In this highly rewarding and engaging role, you will harness your creativity in support of the communities who rely on the services we deliver. What’s more, when you join us, you’ll discover a warm, friendly team who are driven by the same purpose, and you’ll be provided with all the support you need to hit the ground running and excel in your new role.
The closing date for applications is 24th April 2023.
