The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced marketing professional to join the marketing function at the Money Advice Trust - one of the UK’s leading debt advice charities.
This is a senior post for an experienced marketing professional who will set up a new B2C marketing function at the Trust by working closely with the Head of Influencing & Engagement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and managing the delivery of a new Marketing Strategy to promote our award-winning National Debtline and Business Debtline services. Both services have recently received additional funding to support the growing number of people who need debt advice due to the rising cost of living, and this role will be crucial in ensuring the successfully reaching those people in need and delivering commitments to our partner organisations.
The marketing function that this newly created role will lead will also include our established B2B marketing work, which plays a key role in the delivery of our growing commercial training and consultancy enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Own the Trust’s consumer-facing social media channels for the National Debtline and Business Debtline brands (currently Facebook, YouTube, Twitter), ensuring the delivery of impactful content that helps meet business objectives.
- Establish and lead an innovative marketing function to deliver business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) marketing campaigns and referral partnership activity for National Debtline, Business Debtline and the Trust’s training and consultancy.
- Plan and oversee the delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns and activity for National Debtline and Business Debtline across phone, webchat, and online channels.
- Ensure that the return on investment of all marketing campaigns and activity is measured, evaluated, and reported on
- Line management responsibilities
- Also work closely with other functions including Insight, Business Development, Client Experience, the Contact Centre, and Training & Consultancy in particular
Key skills
- Professional qualification in marketing, digital marketing or communications e.g. CIM, IDM (desirable)
- Extensive experience in B2C marketing, including developing complex and integrated multi-channel marketing plans, data analysis and audience planning.
- Experience of developing and delivering effective marketing strategies to help organisation meets its strategic objectives.
- Verbal and written fluency, and an ability to present to a range of difference audiences.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and prioritise own workload.
- Confident in dealing with external contacts.
