Marketing and Communications Officer
The Science Council is looking for someone to deliver our marketing and communications activities, to increase awareness of all aspects of our role.
The organisation sets the standards for practising scientists, through professional registration. We believe that every scientist has a responsibility to society, and themselves, to work with integrity, keep their skills and knowledge up to date and consider how their efforts affect the world around them.
Working with both internal colleagues and our partner organisations, as Marketing and Communications Officer you will be responsible for delivering our marketing and communications plan, supporting engagement with our member bodies and our various registration and development programmes. You will manage the Science Council website and social media, as well as supporting the organisation’s media relations, and development of a range of marketing materials, across a range of platforms.
You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience of delivering engaging marketing activities across a variety of media, and of analysing the effectiveness of campaigns. You will be comfortable working independently, with a proven ability for building effective internal and external relationships and a strong customer-focussed approach.
