Digital Communications Officer
Location: Mainly home based / with some travel to London base on a monthly basis
Salary Details: £23,775 - £27,085 FTE Per Annum (includes London Weighting where applicable)
Please note, the salary is £20,598 - £23,908 per annum if based outside London, £23,775 - £27,085 per annum with London allowance.
Our client is a national charity which has been supporting disabled children, young people and their families since 1970.
The charity work with children, irrespective of their disability or impairment, from birth through to 25 years. This year they supported over 11,800 disabled children and worked with about 60 Local Authorities across England.

About The Role
The charity is recruiting for a Digital Communications Officer to maximise their digital presence including the website, microsites and social media channels, developing their brand in pursuit of their new strategy to increase their visibility and impact. Championing and advising on the use of digital communications you will promote the charity's work through social media, email and online marketing. You will build strong relationships with colleagues to develop innovative content and campaigns, helping to grow the charity's presence online as well as maximising online fundraising opportunities.
You’ll also advise and support others across the organisation to ensure they maintain adherence to brand in their digital outputs. The post holder also supports the creation of the organisation’s Annual Review and selected other printed materials, providing some design as well as working with designers and printers where necessary to administer the production of materials.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has a track record of impactful creative data led digital communications, excited by the potential of digital media to engage with the charity's audiences. In this varied role, you’ll use social media to reach families of disabled children and young people to support their journey and to engage with the charity's activities; deploy LinkedIn to reach professional contacts and enhance the organisation's profile; pull together emails for regular contacts to stimulate responses; support colleagues on digital platforms and supporter journeys; ensure that the web functionality can provide online services to disabled young people, families and carers; advise on how to increase participation of young disabled people on digital platforms, and so much more.
