Our client is a global IT Operations Management (ITOM) company specialising in SolarWinds® monitoring and observability, they are actively searching for a Business Development Representative for their UK Office to be part of an amazing team offering career stability and progression.

JOB SUMMARYThe Sales Development Representative embodies a results-driven, hunter mentality coupled with persuasive phone communication skills. Primarily tasked with spearheading new sales opportunities, the role entails contacting qualified marketing leads, engaging in electronic communication with prospects, and maintaining a disciplined approach to lead follow-through. Motivated by a commitment to excellence, the SDR ensures positive prospect interactions that align with the company’s overarching sales objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead presales activities to cultivate a high-quality lead funnel focused on building a robust pipeline.
  • Achieve product demonstrations and opportunity targets through proactive lead development efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various marketing programs and qualified business applicants.
  • Educate customers on product features and benefits to assist stakeholders in selecting the optimal solution for their business needs.
  • Maintain a measurable level of persistence in lead development, including call and email engagement.
  • Maximize outbound efforts to surpass quotas for calls and qualified meetings.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with customers, facilitating connections between leads and sales teams.
  • Coordinate closely with other departments to ensure sales completion and other operational requirements are met.
  • Utilize all contacts to identify additional prospects through referrals.
  • Thoroughly track all activity in Salesforce to support account and management teams, validate activity and lead qualification reports, and equip sales team members with comprehensive prospect backgrounds for seamless transitions into the sales process.

  • Aptitude for understanding technology.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred (e.g., Salesforce.com).
