c£35,000 per annum,  plus incentive bonus 

We are working in partnership with a well-established national law firm, who are seeking a passionate, experienced business development professional to focus on winning new clients as well as leading their New Business Conveyancing Team at their office in Birmingham City Centre.

The firm are Lexcel and CQS accredited, employing over 450 staff in their growing network of offices throughout the UK. 

The role will involve:

  • Developing new business and winning new clients for the business, focusing on residential conveyancing and new build 
  • Managing the Conveyancing New Business Team
  • Arranging and meeting new potential clients/referrers to the business
  • Building and maintaining business relationships  
  • Understanding team targets/KPI’s to identify areas for attention, for business growth
  • Networking
  • Becoming an expert on the company’s services and areas of expertise
  • Monitoring conversion levels with introducers 
  • Liaising with the Marketing Team to discuss market strategies and future projects
  • Assisting Fee Earners with sourcing new business
  • Overseeing and ensuring agreed service levels are met for each introducer
  • Analysing reports and data and using a legal case management system
  • Overseeing referral fee payments, checking and arranging payments

Suitable candidates will have: 

  • Experience of working in a new business operation within a legal environment (ideally conveyancing)
  • A proven track record of achieving new business success
  • Experience of dealing with clients in person and by telephone
  • The ability to work under pressure, to achieve team targets
  • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm
  • A background in new business development
  • The ability to lead and inspire a team

This is a full time permanent job which is fully office based, working 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
