An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a cutting-edge technology company focused on accelerating the energy transition. This role is ideal for someone passionate about solving new-to-world technology challenges and eager to translate them into significant revenues. This opportunity is joining the company at the very beginning of the Sales cycle and as such it needs someone who is a seasoned Business Development professional who can demonstrate the longevity to see it through to earning the commission.Day to Day of the role:

  • Create opportunities to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Develop and influence the ecosystem to build future revenue pathways.
  • Build strategic networks and partnerships.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively.
  • Manage a portfolio to deliver revenue outcomes and scale market opportunities.
  • Engage with the internal technical community and translate technical aspects into commercial outcomes.
  • Support grant application processes.
  • Work closely with a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and commercial professionals to contribute to the company’s success in addressing major global challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven background in Advanced Materials or Deep Tech Licensing
  • Ability to identify commercial opportunities and convert them into revenue streams.
  • Experience in building trust and influencing partners.
  • Independent self-starter with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex, multi-layered information to all audiences.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adept at managing interactions.
  • Experience in building, owning, and delivering a revenue pipeline.
