Senior Commercial Manager

My client is a fast-growth scale-up in the Open Banking space. They have a Pay with bank p-platform that is leading the revolution in Open Banking powered account to account payment services. Their mission is to make payments fast, secure and fair for everyone, everywhere.

They are looking for an energetic, high motivated Business Development Manager to join ther team, somebody who enjoys hunting new business, establishing relationships and driving commercial alliances. You will be at the forefront of the merchant acquisition drive, executing on the commercial go to market plan and negotiating complex commercial deals with the largest clients from start to finish.

Responsibilities for the Senior Commercial Manager

  • Understand the products and services and be able to articulate its functions, benefits and value proposition
  • Create a systematic, process-driven approach to sourcing and signing new strategic merchants and alliances to drive revenue growth
  • Negotiate complex commercial deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms that are in line with business objectives and strategy
  • Work closely with C-level/senior executives; merchants and partners to successfully negotiate and close deals, through to live and transacting
  • Attend events, exhibitions and build long standing relationships
  • Work closely with internal teams such as Partnerships, Marketing, Customer Success, Integrations and others, to ensure a collaborative working environment

Requirements for the Senior Commercial Manager:

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex commercial negotiations at Mid-Corp/Enterprise level
  • Payments Industry experience and RFI/RFP management
  • Prior experience in a similar business development / sales role with a strong track record of success in building strategic relationships
  • High performance, determination and a positive attitude. As well as being compassionate and humble, we are looking for a good allrounder
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and C-level executives
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation
