About the Role of Business Development Manager

Due to a new opportunity that has just opened up, we are seeking a Business Development Manager (Sales Professional) who is a results driven individual looking to advance their Sales career. Our client is seeking a bright, motivated, and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to develop new client relationships through self-sourced leads (50%) as well as converting inbound leads (50%) into new Sales.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Sell subscriptions and software licenses for our client’s PR Software (SAAS) services and media monitoring / media analysis platform into mid market accounts across the United Kingdom & Ireland
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects via Salesforce!
  • Target decision makers at ‘C’ level within Marketing & Communications departments
  • Be responsible for the full 360 sales cycle from initial sales call through to arranging online Sales demonstrations / face to face demonstrations and closing deals.
  • Put together account plans for Sales forecasting purposes and build a healthy pipeline of Sales prospects to sell into
  • In addition to your office-based Sales responsibilities, you may occasionally be expected to attend external meetings events to see clients for networking Sales purposes.

To reward your efforts and achievements for closing business, our client has a very attractive and rewarding (uncapped) commission scheme in place where you will earn up to 15% on everything you bring in with additional quarterly bonuses and accelerators for going over target.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Well educated with strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
  • Track record in Subscription Sales or SAAS Sales (min. 3 years of experience)
  • Consultative Sales experience with experience of selling to senior level decision makers.
  • Competitive, driven and goal orientated.
  • Ambitious and hungry to grow / develop.
  • An interest in current affairs or PR would be beneficial.
