LOCATION: Weston Super Mare (with potential for full remote working, attending the office once or twice a month)

SALARY: Up to £75,000 DOE (depending on experience with recruitment agency supplying to NHS framework)

ABOUT US: We are a leading healthcare recruitment agency, providing both temporary and permanent staffing services to care homes, nursing homes, residential homes, and mental health units across the South West. Due to substantial opportunities through newly accessible frameworks, we are experiencing rapid growth and are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager immediately.

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our business growth by approaching trusts and organisations that operate under the RM6281 Workforce Alliance framework. You will collaborate closely with the Account Manager to maintain and develop relationships, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and service delivery.


· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the RM6281 Workforce Alliance framework.

· Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company targets and objectives.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in trusts and organisations.

· Work closely with the Account Manager to ensure seamless client engagement and relationship management.

· Present agency services to potential clients, highlighting our unique value propositions.

· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform business strategies.

· Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients.

· Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business.

· Provide regular reports on business development activities and outcomes to senior management.

· Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand your professional network and promote the agency.


· Proven experience in business development, preferably within the healthcare staffing or recruitment industry.

· Strong understanding of the RM6281 Workforce Alliance framework.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.

· Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed business development targets.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Full clean UK driving licence.

· Willingness to travel as required for business purposes.


· Competitive salary up to £75,000 DOE (depending on experience with recruitment agency supplying to NHS framework)

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for hybrid working after 6 months. Full remote working can be considered with the expectation to attend the office once or twice a month.

ABOUT THE ROLE: This role is as a result of growth owing to recent large contract wins. You will be given access to a database of businesses that you can sell to through the framework agreement as opposed to cold calling. The business has seen rapid growth over the last five years and has also opened an overseas office, expanding their temporary worker talent pool to over 200+ people.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have relevant stakeholder management experience and strong business development skills with proven transferable skills. You will have a stable work history and be able to demonstrate where you have added value to an employer through sales performance and relationship building skills. Experience selling a consultative service solution into the healthcare arena is highly desirable.
