Our client is a leading North West-based financial wellbeing and retirement specialist, working with hundreds of businesses across the private and public sector by offering their staff financial education, guidance and regulated financial advice. As our client’s company continues to grow, a requirement has arisen for a Business Development Manager. The position is home-based.

Reporting to the Head of New Business, the Business Development Manager will work in conjunction with and support the Head of New Business, in the development and management of the company’s new business area. The Business Development Manager’s key duties will include:

  • Deliver a new business sales target as defined by Head of New Business (HNB)
  • Develop and manage your new business contact plan to support the delivery of sales targets activities including pipeline development and activity planning & management
  • Manage the follow up of new business leads to arrange initial and follow up appointments from: External events, Mailing campaigns, Website enquiries
  • Develop a full understanding of the company’s business model to support engaging discussions with prospects and new clients
  • Support the research and drafting of business proposals
  • Support new client handover meetings with allocated Corporate Project Implementation Manager and Relationship Manager
  • Keep up to date on employee benefit market developments in particular workplace pensions and share schemes

The successful candidate for the Business Development Manager vacancy will receive:

  • A salary of up to £50,000 (depending on experience)

Suitable candidates interested in the Business Development Manager vacancy will have the following criteria:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a sales or consultancy lead environment
  • Conversational knowledge of UK pensions (DB & DC), UK share schemes, and flex benefit offerings (essential)
  • Be enthusiastic and driven
