Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Newton Abbot

Full time:Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm, 4.00pm finish on a Friday!

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 plus bonus scheme

The Company:Our client is a successful, leading manufacturer with over 50 years’ experience and their product being sold to distributors all over the UK! They are based in Newton Abbot and are a vibrant, friendly, and innovative team. They are growing rapidly so it’s an exciting chance to join their sales team.

The Role: As a sales and Customer service Coordinator, you are the face of the business and they are looking for a vibrant personality to match! You will need a can do attitude, exceptional organisational skills and be confident on the telephone! You will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service is achieved to new and existing clients while supporting the sales team.

Day to Day Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Calling customers to ensure they have everything they need in ways of brochures, quotes, website images and demonstrations of the products
  • Identify and contact new opportunities, making appointments for the Directors with potential new customers
  • Keep up to date on social media trends and posts to ensure every opportunity is realised within the business and lead to potential sales opportunities
  • Take follow up actions from the team after every client visit to ensure the actions are assigned to the relevant people and ensure they are completed on time
  • Report on stats on each customer to the Senior Management team, analysing data and trends
  • Use of spreadsheets, CRM database and the ability to create and manage monthly sales / calls statistics
  • Upselling to current customers, bringing on new customers and generally contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience working in a proven sales environment
  • Excellent level of customer service experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A strong desire to achieve
  • Strong team player with a positive and helpful outlook
  • Excellent communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to build strong business relationships
  • Proficient in IT systems,
  • To be analytical and methodical
  • Proactive and solution finder.
