The Marketing Automation Manager Role:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing as part of a central function, you will take the lead on driving improved customer experience and commercial performance for a portfolio of services including Media, Political Intelligence and Training. This role is key to delivering impactful campaigns that generate leads, delegate and sponsorship acquisition and build brand loyalty.
This is a technical role working with our automated marketing platform. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer journeys as part of our marketing automation programs, including journey design and configuration, audience segmentation and data mapping and interrogation. The role will also be involved in coordinating development projects and BAU activity with external delivery partners to support the overall objectives and the marketing team.
You must possess a strong understanding of email marketing principles, triggered campaigns, email testing and optimising performance. You will work closely with our Data team to understand our databases and help determine data requirements and strategy.
This is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone who is passionate about marketing technology, both in terms of strategy & innovation but also implementation and delivering competitive advantage. We want someone who can drive commercial change across our portfolio of brands through expert Marketing Automation knowledge.
+ 6+ years in marketing (international experience a plus)
+ Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent or equivalent professional experience
+ Diploma in Marketing (CIM/IDM) – preferred
+ Excellent copywriting and communication skills
+ Demonstrated professional experience in a similar role
+ HTML experience for email authoring skills
+ Experience working with EMPs such as Eloqua or Active Campaign
+ Experience working with CRMs such as Dynamix or Salesforce
+ Experience building and developing mobile responsive emails
+ Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of relevant systems
+ Good knowledge of spam filtering technologies
