Salary: circa £40,000
We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated media relations specialist who can raise the profile of this organisation and help us campaign for the countryside.
The countryside is one of the nation’s most valued assets – it’s where many people feel most alive and it plays a vital role in improving our mental and physical health, not to mention tackling the climate emergency. This countryside charity wants to connect more people with the countryside to ensure that everyone can benefit. This role is an opportunity to play an important part in achieving that.
As Media Manager, you will develop and implement media strategies and plans, and generate coverage in press, online and broadcast that complements our influencing work, while also broadening our appeal and helping us reach a wider range of audiences. You will have significant experience of executing media plans that generate large amounts of national coverage and will be confident giving advice and direction to senior colleagues. We are looking for someone with a real passion and energy for generating quality media coverage and someone who can help tell the human stories that underpin our campaigning work. You’ll be willing and able to work with various teams and with colleagues across the organisations’ network of local groups.
You will be part of the External Affairs team, reporting to the head of that team, but working closely with communications colleagues across the organisation. You will oversee one member of staff, our Media Officer and together you will run the organisations’ busy press office.
Closing Date: Thursday 28th October 2021
Interviews: Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 November 2021
