We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development Executive to support our Corporate Practice Group. This role can be based in either Manchester, Glasgow or Edinburgh.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team supporting a market-leading practice. Our UK corporate practice, with about 80 partners and 250 lawyers, is one of the most sought after for advising on transactions in the UK and across Europe and regularly tops the M&A and equity capital markets league tables. Its funds & indirect real assets team is considered market leading by all major directories. The firm’s sector leaders for Consumer Products and Hotel & Leisure also sit within the corporate practice group and are supported by its BD team.

Under energetic and ambitious leadership, the corporate team is looking to further boost its market profile, leverage firm-wide client relationships and land roles on headline transactions. You would be part of a team of five business development professionals supporting the corporate partners on making these ambitions come to life.

In this role, you can expect to get involved in a variety of work including:

Campaigns: support on the development and execution of marketing campaigns

Events: support and organise seminars, webinars and client social events

Client targeting: support activities aimed at targeting potential clients and further developing existing clients

Pitching: execute proposals

BD infrastructure: to maintain and work with BD infrastructure, including standard pitch content, credentials database and client relationship management software

Directory and award submissions: support on directory and awards submissions

About You

We will invest in your ongoing training and development to support your professional goals and help you to thrive in your role from day one. To be successful in this role you will have some previous Marketing & BD experience gained within a professional services environment. You will possess strong written and numerical skills, with the ability to present complex information and concepts in a clear and concise manner. A proactive can-do approach with a drive to support the growth of our business is key to flourishing in this role.
