Junior Communications Assistant, Poole, full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client as they are now going live on 4 projects in 4 different countries, a Junior Communications Assistant with excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to create a variety of exciting content, with a good eye for detail, is sought to support the Business Development and Project Support Team.


  • Support the delivery of all company and project communications, in line with agreed strategies
  • Work in conjunction with the communications assistant to create, manage and maintain the content on the company and project social media pages
  • Support in keeping project websites up to date with pictures and news stories
  • Support in writing content and selecting images for new project websites
  • Provide support to the communications assistant in maintaining and delivering company and project communication materials on an as-needed basis
  • Create and maintain internal project communications documents for Business Develop and other departments (picture reports, scrapbooks, media reports)
  • Collect and store any project and company media coverage found online or in the press
  • Keep relevant areas of the company's online filing and Salesforce platform up to date with all client and internal communication documents and materials
  • Help identify potential areas of CSR support for new projects
  • Manage and maintain email distribution lists
  • Any additional ad-hoc tasks as required

Skills and experience - The successful applicant will;

  • Must have a relevant degree/qualification
  • Have experience of creating and updating multiple social media and communications channels
  • Have an eye for a good picture and pulling together engaging content/images for websites and social media channels
  • Have good knowledge of writing and editing clear copy in English for a variety of audiences, with the understanding some of it may need to be produced or translated into French
  • Have excellent writing and communication skills
  • Be a proficient user of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have experience in using InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Be able to cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders * Able to read and write in French (desirable but not essential)

Engagement / Terms Salary band - £22,000 to 24,000 per year

Holidays - 20 days, plus bank holidays 3 month probation period
Mon-Fri, 9-5 Office Hours with reasonable additional hours when needed without additional pay
Travel and reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed
Travel insurance
