Do you consider your ability to develop new markets a personal strength? Are you proactive and able to manage your campaigns from beginning to end? If this sounds like you, take your next step with us.
We are the Institution of Structural Engineers - the world’s largest membership body dedicated to the art and science of structural engineering. We have ambitious plans, and you’ll play a vital part.
A ‘business partner’ style of working has been adopted by the department.
As the Digital Marketing Executive, you will work closely with, and effectively be account manager for, our Learning and Development Teams whose main aim is to provide appropriate development opportunities for our members and the wider profession so that they are competent in carrying out their roles. The main products in question will be publications, training courses, conferences, and webinars. You’ll be required to build your knowledge of the products and the internal client teams in order to deliver effective campaigns and communications strategies for them. You’ll plan, manage and deliver projects through the entire marketing lifecycle from inception to end, analysis and reporting; writing targeted copy for a range of audiences, and creating a variety of content to support your campaigns across all channels.
A large part of this role will be to think creatively to identify and develop new markets and opportunities; to grow our audience outside of the Institution’s membership and contribute to the increase in revenue.
The Institution continues to develop through a digital transformation. We relaunched our brand and website in 2019. As part of the team, you’ll support your colleagues, as well as our regional groups, to implement the brand and ensure appropriate usage across the Institution.
This is a fantastic opportunity to undertake a truly varied role, really immerse yourself into a small organisation and feel that your contribution is making a difference.
We are looking for candidates with:
- An understanding of marketing commercial products
- Experience of project managing campaigns through the entire lifecycle
- Excellent copywriting including targeting copy for a range of audiences
- Experience of using social media channels effectively
- Experience of reporting on communications activity
- Good knowledge of digital tools e.g. email marketing systems; CMS; reporting tools etc.
What we can offer you:
A 35-hour working week with flexi time, plus first-class benefits. This post is based in our London HQ and in the short term will involve a changing mix of office based and remote working as part of our phased response to Covid-19. Based on the edge of the city, our office is bright, modern and open plan.
