The Organisation
This role is working for a prestigious regulatory body who have a mission to serve the public interest by setting high standards of corporate governance, reporting and audit and holding to account those responsible for delivering them. We are the UK Competent Authority for audit. We also set the UK Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes as well as UK standards for accounting, auditing and actuarial work, and monitor and take action to promote the quality of corporate reporting and operate independent enforcement arrangements for accountants and actuaries. The Team The organisations Communications team manages the internal and external communications. We use multiple channels to ensure announcements, reports, speeches etc. reach stakeholders effectively. These include press releases, subscriber notes, social media, podcasts, videos and so on. The team also maintains the website and intranet. The team is part of the Stakeholder Engagement and Corporate Affairs function which is part of the Regulatory Standards Division.

The main responsibilities will include the below: -

  • Light to medium level website and intranet updates using Kentico, this includes page management, correcting links, embedding images and video and supporting internal queries
  • Periodic reviews of the website for minor issues, broken links and inconsistencies
  • Social media asset support, specifically content generation, sourcing appropriate images and editing them using Photoshop and or InDesign Periodic review and escalation of relevant comments on the social media platforms
  • Periodic review of HotJar on the website and escalation of commentary when relevant
  • Support in creating content for the social media platforms using software such as InDesign and Illustrator
  • PowerPoint presentation support such as editing and creating basic graphics and infographics as needed
  • Support to the wider Comms Team for technical support on the website, intranet, social media, and other digital platforms
  • Basic knowledge of Audacity for podcast edits and to support the Comms Team in editing audio content
  • Support for Microsoft Teams Webinars and other digital events hosted by the organisation, this includes but is not limited to briefing participants, controlling chat feedback, monitoring broadcast quality, switching between presenters when necessary, recording the session and providing analytics from the engagement
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics to support the Comms
  • Team with insights and Google Analytics reports
  • The role will include some light publications project management, including filing proofs, reviewing designs for accuracy, light proof reading and quality control

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the below: -

  • Web CMS expertise and experience (ideally in Kentico) is ideal
  • A basic understanding of HTML and web copy editing experience is advantageous
  • Experience using project management boards such as Jira is advantageous
  • Some basic coding skills are advantageous
  • Someone who is looking to start their career in digital marketing
  • Energetic, focused individual with a passion for learning, a talent for digital things and good attention to detail
  • Someone who is open to collaborative ways of working and suggesting new ideas
