Your new role
As PR Specialist in a team of 3, you would have responsibility for all day-to-day press engagement, including managing day-to-day agency output, as well as reporting back to the business on a weekly basis. You will drive the Brand's coverage in the specialist press and foster existing relationships to increase share of voice across key print, digital and broadcast media, and will manage day-to-day reporting and tracking to review press office effectiveness.
- Managing press office approach and output
- Fostering relationships with key specialist media
- Managing day-to-day PR agency requests
- Supporting on content creation (press releases, bylines, comments)
- Working with the Category Marketing Briefs, to align PR activity to overall plans
- Delivering brand events and activations
- Supporting Category Marketing on sponsorship and ambassador opportunities
What you'll need to succeed
You will have existing experience working in a PR role, ideally agency-side, with a thorough understanding of media needs and possess existing media relationships, ideally in the technology, fitness, automotive, marine, or outdoor categories. You will be very organised, with strong written and verbal skills - copywriting, writing press releases, pitching to the media etc. You will have Press Office experience, and will ideally have had exposure to organising and participating in Press Events.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £30000, with flexibility up to £35000 for more skilled and experienced applicants.
