We are delighted to be working with an excellent local organisation who are looking for a Fundraising and Events Officer on a permanent basis. This represents an exciting opportunity to work with a fantastic Public Sector organisation as they embark on a period of growth within their Marketing team.
Your new role
Reporting into the Fundraising Lead, you will be responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of a portfolio of both virtual and physical events throughout the year which will reach across their community. You will be developing the fundraising events project plans with critical actions in place to ensure the smooth execution of these throughout the upcoming year. You will be organising and managing the administration for the events, completing vital research, liaising with suppliers, organising guest lists and managing donations. You will be able to effectively identify opportunities within the area where you can promote the organisations range of services as well as for fundraising opportunities. You will also be responsible for sourcing stories and photographs from events which will be utilised in communications across all channels.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be able to operate well in a team-based environment, and have experience working in a fundraising and events officer occupation, or similar role. You will have solid knowledge of fundraising techniques and principals. You must have outstanding communications and interpersonal skills, and be well organised to manage multiple tasks in this fast-paced company. You will be a creative individual and be commercially aware to succeed in this role. Ideally, you will be degree educated but this is not an essential. You will also have excellent knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems.
