Design Manager - Maternity Cover (12 months)

An exciting opportunity to guide HARIBO’s in-house creative team for an Interim 1-year period.

This role leads operational efficiency and delivery within the Design Department whilst being pivotal in leading, directing and executing design strategies across print and digital. You’ll be a key interface with a range of stakeholders to manage our support delivered across the business whilst overseeing studio output from packaging, POS, internal comms to brand campaigns. You will possess a strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing material.

This is a great opportunity for a design manager with a solid background primarily in print. The role is hands-on so a background in design for FMCG is essential, as is the ability to design – via scamps and digitally.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  •  Directing creative, ensuring all content produced is within brand guidelines before it leaves the studio for client approval.
  •  Generation of concepts including research, proposition and preparation of final presentations to key stakeholders.
  •  Provide the design team with clear objectives and processes; tracking progress and engagement through regular catch-ups.
  •  Aligning business growth strategies with studio capacity to ensure key projects can be achieved; working on a joined-up approach with key stakeholders on forecasts.
  •  Commercial tracking of all projects; monitoring, analysis and invoicing.
  •  Management of the origination forecast and budget; working with various budget owners to ensure transparency with timely, regular updates.
  •  Identifying work process improvements and leading the team to implement.
  •  To carry out any other tasks commensurate with this post

Qualifications / Experience:
  •  Relevant Degree
  •  Commercial FMCG design experience.
  •  Management experience in the creative sector essential.
  •  A solid understanding and experience working with print.
  •  Digital design experience.
  •  Experience of press approvals and printing to a colour standard.
  •  Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  •  Strong conceptual and strategic thinker

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months

Hours: 38 hours per week - Flexible working by arrangement
