Location: Andover, Hampshire – Fully remote now, will move to 2-3 days a week in office when safe to do so.
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 (based on experience) plus benefits
We’re looking for an experienced direct response marketer to join a rapidly scaling business who are blowing their customer acquisition targets to pieces.
Despite the acquisition rate going through the roof, their offline direct response programme is still relatively new. So there’s loads of scope to scale and grow the programme as well as the role itself.
From the outset you’ll be given control of the following channels - direct mail, inserts, press, door drops and also get involved with some DRTV too.
Owning the end to end including audience selection and targeting strategies. Working with end agency partners on creative and campaign builds and fulfilment.
There's a really healthy budget to look after and ensure you're getting value for money and return on investment. So you'll need to really dig into the performance of each campaign and optimise each channel.
You will be handling both media and creative agencies. With the latter, you’ll be able to put your creative juices to work in both briefing, brainstorming and critiquing their work.
Ensuring each campaign’s creative and message is on point. Calls to action and messaging connects up across both on and offline, and put in place the proper capabilities to effectively measure ROI and CPA, taking account of cross channel attribution.
Despite this programme being in relative infancy with a big roadmap of opportunity ahead, the company’s in a really good spot. Having obliterated monthly customer acquisition measures for some time now. But there’s lots of opportunities to refine and scale the programme. Notably with opportunities to test and learn in order to open up new channels, as well as them planning to launch a range of new propositions targeting different audience demographics later this year and beyond.
You’ll be reporting to the Head of Acquisition, and in a team made up of both digital and offline marketing specialists.
There will also be team support in the form of marketing execs, who will help with operational execution.

Working out the whys behind over and under performance, coming up with solutions and not afraid to test and trial new things in order to deliver impressive results.

Key Experience Necessary
- Solid direct marketing/direct response marketing credentials with knowledge of direct mail in particular, as well as other offline direct response media channels
- Good analytical skills. Able to evidence use of data to inform targeting and media strategies
- Results focused. With an astute focus on measurement and optimisation of campaigns
- Experienced in budgetary and agency management – particularly working with media and creative agencies
- Any experience in subscriptions based, or regulated industry businesses a real plus
Must be able to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
