Gleeson are delighted to be working with a nationally recognised events business in their search for a Consumer Marketing Manager.

Our client host some of the biggest events in the UK which sees thousands of customers attend throughout the year. This is a brand new opportunity which will hone in on the needs of the customer to make the customer journey and experience as seamless as possible.

Ideally you will have experience in event marketing campaigns, planning digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic to our client’s website ahead of upcoming events.

You won’t be responsible for promoting the events, but you will play a lead role in making customers aware of additional perks, upselling different product offerings to suit the customer.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with strong B2C experience, currently operating at Marketing Executive level, looking to progress into a Marketing Manager level.

“What will I be doing day-to-day?”

  • Managing, planning and execution of event marketing campaigns for defined customer segments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the performance of event marketing programmes to showcase activity value, drive engagement and optimise the customer journey.
  • Planning and development of digital and marketing campaigns to drive traffic to venue websites, capture data and improve conversions.
  • Support across PPC and paid advertising campaigns as necessary, ensuring work is within budget and delivers a ROI.
  • Ensuring all marketing activation is aligned with wider plans regarding scale, objectives, audience, timings, and budget.
  • Develop engaging content to showcase the activity that takes place in our client’s venues and the services offered for use across print and digital channels including venue screens, websites and social platforms.
  • Provide marketing support and project management for projects, working closely with the Marketing Director and/or Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Work with the Account Managers to help develop the briefs for internal and external teams.

“What experience is your client looking for?”

  • Previous experience of marketing in a fast moving, creative environment.
  • Previous experience working across both B2B and B2C marketing would be ideal, but B2C is essential.
  • Confidence and experience managing end to end marketing campaigns across all channels.
  • Proven experience of executing campaign strategy across multiple projects.
  • Copywriting skills with confidence in writing and developing compelling copy for web updates and campaigns.
  • Knowledge and previous experience using Google Analytics.

You will be required to work in our client’s offices in Birmingham 3 days per week, working from home on Monday and Friday.
