The Head of Digital Analytics & Data Insights Role:
Reporting into the Business Services Director you will have ultimate responsibility for the Customer Insight & Activation department, consisting of Data Insight, Implementation, Optimisation analysts and data strategy, and will have the opportunity to grow this team as needed to support your long-term growth strategy. You will be expected to provide ongoing support and mentorship to 3 functional leads, who are responsible for day-to-day activities within the department.
As Head of Digital Analytics & Strategy, you will be responsible for managing, growing and diversifying the data products and services we offer to our clients. You will work in partnership with our Consultancy, Customer Experience and Account Leadership teams to identify new opportunities and develop tailored solutions that meet the individual needs of our clients.
Given the dynamic and fast paced nature of our business, you will be expected to take a hands-on role in defining and delivering our data services. This includes developing material to support new business engagements, documenting technical requirements, analysing customer datasets and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
+ Work with the commerce Senior Leadership Team to define a clear set of new data services and departmental strategy that is aligned to our clients need.
+ Manage and grow the existing capabilities and teams (Insight and Analytics, Digital Optimisation, Commerce data management)
+ Establish a new consultancy capability to broaden and accelerate the strategic data services we offer.
+ Work with our Marketing & Account Leadership teams to establish ‘go to market’ strategies to promote new and existing services.
+ Develop and win new business for the data practice, Support new business activities and RFP responses.
+ Pre-Sales consultation: Work collaboratively with our data engineering teams to bring to life the data strategies we defined for our clients.
+ Be familiar with the latest tools in the commerce and marketing technology space.
+ Effectively collaborate with other business services teams, consultancy and CX to solve complex client problems.
+ Act as the thought leader and spokesperson for data & analytics both within WTC and externally
+ Establish mutually beneficial relationships with key technology partners.
+ Work with other WPP agencies to identify joint opportunities for collaboration and potential of a joint offering.

We need you to be really great at:
The successful candidate will demonstrate a unique blend of skills covering data, technology and business. As a leading Commerce agency, it’s crucial you have previous experience working within a digital commerce setting (either agency or client-side). Our client activity spans multiple channels including: Direct to Consumer (D2C), Business to Business (B2B), Marketplaces, Retailers and Social. You should be extremely familiar with the inner workings of these channels and the respective benefits and drawbacks.
Successful candidates will have:
+ Experience of defining data strategies within a digital commerce setting.
+ Experience shaping the data services and solutions that deliver a client’s vision, integrated across technology and business functions.
+ Experience growing and managing a team of data professionals, including both junior and senior colleagues.
+ Experience working with and communicating to senior stakeholders in a business.
+ A proven track record of delivering large insight projects for enterprise organisations (covering data capture, analysis and optimisation)
+ Experience working with cloud-based technologies such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform to manage and query data at scale.
+ Experience supporting pitches and new business activities.
+ Exceptional communication skills and an ability to translate complex data into clear, practical insight.
+ Extensive experience working with digital analytics technologies, Customer Data Platform, testing and personalisation tools and knowledge of customer experience.
+ Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation bringing together mixed capability teams to deliver data solutions.

+ Familiarity with Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) technologies, with a specific focus on data management and optimisation.
+ Experience and understanding of Machine Learning modeling and other AI techniques
+ Familiarity with server side measurement and tracking solutions.
+ Experience working with customer segmentation models to generate insights and optimise customer experiences.
+ Knowledge of digital marketing techniques for commerce (e.g. affiliate programmes, google shopping)
+ Familiarity with the latest SEO practices.
+ Familiarity with data sources accessible to merchants from Amazon.
