Director of Communications - South Wales £52,000p.a.

Your new company
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Not For Profit organisation in South Wales as they go through an exciting transition. You will join a brand new Senior Management Team who have a passion for people. The Director of Communications will be responsible for creating innovative new ways to reach audiences both internally and externally.

Your new role
The overall purpose of this role is to provide strategic direction and leadership for the internal and external communications, brand, reputation and external engagement, ensuring alignment with the organisations corporate plan.

Raising the profile, influence and reputation of the organisation will be key, helping to build strategic relationships and influencing across government, media, corporate partners and other relevant sectors.

Working closely with the Director of People you will develop and implement a fit for purpose employee engagement strategy, taking into account a rapidly changing work environment and finding new ways for the internal community to have a voice.

You will provide clear leadership and direction to the Communications function encouraging development and you will be a member of the Senior Management Team, encouraging, promoting and participating in cross functional working between teams and directorates.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a demonstrable background in a senior level role within a regulated environment, with strategic leadership and experience in providing strategic communications advice to senior leadership team. You will be innovative and creative in finding new ways to reach the organisations internal and external audiences with experience of leading on digital transformation projects and modernising the communications function. The ability to engage with and influence a wide range of stakeholders and partners is required. You will have a degree level qualification in either public relations, communications or marketing.
