Content Editor (FTC)
Based at our Head Office in Basingstoke (with the option for home working if preferred)

About Us
The Fire Fighters Charity provides confidential, personalised support to the whole of the fire services community, delivering mental health, physical health and social wellbeing services at our centres, remotely, online and in communities around the UK.
We recognise that no two people requesting our support do so for the same reason and tailor our service to achieve the best results for each of our beneficiaries.
We’re currently looking for a Content Editor to join our team on a 12 month maternity cover contract.

You will have the chance to act as a champion for the UK's fire family, as well as the amazing people in our organisation, raising awareness of our work and the people we support.
The Role
As a Content Editor, you will write, edit and proofread copy with the highest standards to create compelling and engaging stories that inspire people to support our cause.
You will also provide creative input into the production of multimedia content for a range of audiences and media channels to support our marketing, PR, communications, fundraising, income generation, engagement and advocacy activity.
Some of your role will include:
- Creating content for offline marketing and engagement campaigns
- Building a strong understanding of different audiences
- Contributing to internal communications
- Ensuring that our website content is written to the highest standards
- Supporting the evolution and roll-out of our voice and style guides
Occasional travel across the UK will be required.
About You
To join us as a Content Editor, you will need:
- Significant content-related communications experience
- Experience of writing for different B2B and B2C audiences and across different media
- Previous experience of writing news and features
- Demonstrable creativity in your writing style
- Brilliant storytelling skills
Ideally, you will have a qualification in English, Marketing, Communications or similar.
