Global Digital Marketing Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Global Digital Marketing Manager to join our established and experienced Global Marketing team based at Barbour House, South Shields. This role is essential in driving first class delivery of all digital projects and campaigns across the Barbour and Barbour International brands. You will develop social channels globally, implementing appropriate digital campaigns supported by social activity, and be the champion of the Barbour brands in all on-line channels and touch points. This role will also be responsible for managing the Barbour Digital Marketing Team and manage the full digital marketing budget. The ideal candidate will have direct experience of marketing a premium clothing / lifestyle brand.

Global Digital Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and implement the digital campaign strategy and plans for the Barbour brands.
Input into the E-commerce Steering Group (ESG) from a digital marketing and social channel strategy perspective, to ensure alignment across DTC and wholesale channels, supporting local markets.
Set the global guidelines for digital activity across wholesale partners (e-com & social channels), work with UK and US to ensure best practice is followed and ensure we achieve our aim of % of “branded areas” online.
Be a custodian of the Barbour brands look, feel and tone of voice in all digital channels.
Develop and deliver seasonal digital campaigns and communication plans in support of identified focus for each new Barbour season.
Ensure wholesale partners and global distributors are aligned to the brand way of selling online with the relevant tools to implement, in a collaborative brand-first approach.
Development of profitable digital marketing communication campaigns across a range of channels; driving consumer engagement with the brands, driving traffic to the their sites and measuring sales results.
Writing and delivering against annual, seasonal, and longer-term social channel KPI’s.
Manage Barbour’s social media strategy on a Global level. Build a plan on how to develop channels (existing and new) in global markets and across both brands, Barbour & Barbour International.
Produce high quality and original content that drives engagement and helps to achieve key business objectives.
Lead the growth and development of Barbour’s global influencer database supporting markets in creating on brand, engaging campaigns with commercial results.
Full budgetary responsibility for digital marketing campaigns and creation of on-line content.
Manage and cultivate relationships with specialist creative digital agencies as needed.
Research current digital trends/ opportunities, evaluating, and presenting best practice ideas to evolve the digital experience.
Proposing new opportunities in order to ensure that Barbour is at the forefront of digital activities.
Manage and coach the Barbour digital team, ensuring their deliver best in class.

Global Digital Marketing Manager Requirements:

Degree level education ideally in Marketing.
Professional Marketing qualification at post graduate level (desirable).
Proven experience in leading branded digital marketing strategies and campaigns
Ideally direct experience of marketing a premium clothing / lifestyle brand.
Experience of direct consumer marketing alongside retail and wholesale channels.
Proven commercial experience in measuring the return on investment of digital marketing.
Deep understanding of social media channels and how to utilise for maximum effect.
Awareness of social media strategies and metrics.
Experience of growing social media audiences, specifically across Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
People management experience.
Experience of budget management.
Excellent project management skills from start to completion.
Strong IT skills including: Outlook, Word, Excel & Digital tools such as Google Analytics, Content Management Systems etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externally.
Flexible methods with a positive approach to change.
Extremely self-motivated and able to lead and develop a team.
Strong organisational and time management ability.
