Reporting to the Head of Marketing on a day-to-day basis, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for the strategic lead for Haribo Core & Seasonal offerings and responsibility for our ATL communications, delivering against stretching growth targets and increasing business demands.

Haribo is one of the UK’s most loved brands and has been named best loved sweet confectionary brand in the UK for the last two years running. As we celebrate our 100th anniversary we are looking for an energetic and highly capable marketer to help define and deliver continued growth.

As a member of the Marketing Leadership you will manage a team of three and work closely with the wider marketing team and other key functions across the organisation including Sales, Category, Finance and Operations.

Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead in development and implementation of a three year rolling business plans for your remit, based on deep understanding of both consumer and category, that ensures growth ahead of the market
  • Active performance management to track and drive the business performance of your area, working closely with Sales and Category teams to identify and pro-actively address risks & opportunities to the plan and the business
  • Develop & deliver the brand communication & activation plans (ATL, TTL and BTL) for Haribo Core & seasonal including creative development, media planning, social strategy, PR and consumer led customer activation within the agreed scope & budget for the remit
  • Develop & deliver the product NPD & renovation projects in line with business plans for remit by:
  • Leading cross functional project teams and any external agencies involved.
  • Ensuring proper cross functional sign-off through Stage & Gate
  • Delivering execution & activation plans
  • Contributing to the customer selling story
  • Day-to-day management of direct reports, ensuring long term employee engagement, including:
  • Manage team workload and prioritisation with Head of Marketing and other stakeholder
  • Create and foster a culture amongst direct reports that reflects the HARIBO vision and values

Marketing Manager Requirements:

  • University Degree in related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in brand/marketing management within FMCG environment
  • Results oriented marketer with proven ability to think strategically
  • Understands and demonstrates best practice with a strong passion for marketing innovation
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in managing and interpreting consumer/customer research
  • Strong analytical capabilities with an emphasis on reading, interpreting, and story-telling data
  • Sound strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to anticipate trends and turn insights into action
  • Strong planning, prioritisation, and project management competencies
  • Ability to work in and a cultivate a team environment, including cross functions
  • Ability to work to and deliver on deadlines

Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire

Job type: Full Time, 12 months Fixed Term Contract, 38 hours per week with rota based on-call out of hours requirement
