They’re looking for a Marketing and Visitor Experience Lead to join their new engagement team in the South West to lead on the delivery of marketing campaigns across the region and the creation of memorable visitor experiences within their lifeboat stations, visitor centres and museums.

Your Role

As Marketing and Visitor Experience Lead, you will be audience focused, ensuring our client’s supporters, donors, volunteers and the general public have a great experience and join them, stay with them, advocate for them and feel part of their family.

What you’ll be doing in the role:

- Leading on the delivery of marketing campaigns in your region, delivering income, engagement and behaviour change
- Working with volunteers and staff teams to design and deliver inspiring and engaging visitor experiences within lifeboat stations, museums and visitor centres
- Supporting and feeding into the development of the regional engagement plan. Being an active member of the regional engagement team in the South West, demonstrating the highest levels of collaborative working and collective responsibility
- Coaching, training and developing a team of Community Managers to deliver against marketing and visitor objectives, using your experience to improve their knowledge and skills
- Supporting volunteer recruitment, management and training across your specialism
- Monitoring and evaluating your activity, proactively feeding back from the perspective of volunteers and supporters to shape future campaigns and content

About You

You’ll have a strong background in either a marketing or visitor experience development role; you’ll get to know your audiences, whether they are supporters, volunteers or supporters of the future and keep them at the front of your mind when developing content across both physical experiences and campaigns.

Your enthusiasm and creative approach will motivate you to achieve targets and overcome barriers. You’ll be flexible and willing to travel across your region to achieve results and work across the wider Engagement team.

To be considered as the Marketing and Visitor Experience Lead, you will need:

- A degree or relevant equivalent experience
- Significant achievements in engaging supporters, volunteers or the public in order to generate funds
- Experience of marketing campaign and/or visitor experience development and delivery
- People leadership skills, including high levels of emotional intelligence

Please note this role requires a significant level of travel within your area of responsibility, this role requires the successful candidate to live within the South West region, you will also need to travel to our client’s Regional Base in Saltash, their Support Centre in Poole, and other locations as required.
