Communications Director

SBC Group are recruiting a dynamic Communications Director to drive its strategic communications and branding across the SBC Group portfolio and to join us at an exciting stage of our growth and development.

The post holder will be expected to be able to assist the SBC Group on a full-time basis with the remuneration circa between £60,000 depending on market fit experience.

The initial contract agreement will be for a fixed period of 3- months and is potentially renewable for a further 3 months via mutual agreement and beyond depending on attaining agreed success goals and targets.

About SBC Group

The SBC Group comprises three main divisions: SBC Sonata our business consultancy and coaching division; SBC Generations our Family Offices and Family Business Division and SBC Advocati – our legal services division. 

Core function:

Working directly with our CEO and COO the Communications Director will be responsible for:

  • Be responsible for the communications, branding and high-level marketing needs of the SBC Group
  • Leading on the sales and communications processes across the SBC Group
  • Looking at new routes to market and identifying opportunities 
  • Assisting with generating leads and revenue across all SBC Group divisions but with a particular core focus on the Sonata division aimed at fast paced, venture backed, tech start-ups.
  • Identifying and creating collateral and presentations required for new business prospecting

Key skills and requisites:

  • 5 years + experience at a senior level in the communications and marketing industry
  • Essential to have worked within small but scaling-up companies
  • Outstanding English verbal, written and stand-up presentation skills
  • High-level strategic thinking and execution
  • Based at the SBC Group offices in the HA8 area


  • Essential to have a degree from a recognised University
  • Desirable to have worked within and experience with VC`s and PE houses
  • Remote working available although attendance at the SBC Group offices highly desirable (Covid 19 rules permitting)
