Programme Business Analyst
Programme Business Analyst (Maternity Cover)
Reference number: A0730920
Salary: Starting at £34,643 to £38,632 per annum
Hours: Full time
Contract: Maternity Cover
As the UK's largest nature conservation charity, our client has an ambitious strategy aiming to make a significant difference for nature. At a time of unprecedented change within the UK and around the world, they are evolving to respond to the natural world's greatest threats, ensuring that they are in the best possible shape to deliver on their strategy. Underpinned by evidence-based decision making, their work programmes range from working in partnership to deliver major conservation outcomes on land and at sea through to transforming our own ways of working to have greater impact for nature.
They are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Business Analyst to join their Conservation Data Management Unit (CDMU) as a maternity cover. Working with staff across the organisation, CDMU oversees the development and use of business systems supporting our conservation work, in particular their in-house GIS database, Merlin. Working in a small team with another Programme Business Analyst and the Head of Business Analysis Services, you will work across a variety of projects to improve systems and processes. You will be experienced at eliciting requirements, with excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to assimilate large quantities of information, analyse options and make recommendations for solutions. You will also need to be able to work confidently with a range of diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and in locations across the UK and be able to apply a collaborative approach to bridge and bring together their sometimes conflicting demands.
You will have an innovative and enquiring mind eager to set out new ways of doing things. Experience of working on major transformative projects or programmes, and of business process and benefits management is desirable. The ability to work on multiple concurrent activities as part of a busy team with a can-do attitude will be essential. The team is normally based at the charity's UK Headquarters in a Nature Reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire but the impact of Covid-19 means the ability to work happily at home in a suitable environment is essential and the successful candidate could be based anywhere in the UK with good broadband connectivity. You will be working with friendly staff who are passionate about conservation so if you are interested in making a real difference for this charity and nature conservation in the UK and globally, then they can offer you a unique opportunity to further your business analysis career within their growing community of Business Analysts.
They are actively recruiting and may draw the role to close when suitable applications are received. They look forward to hearing from you soon!
