Business Development Lead
The Opportunity:Nigel Wright Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively retained by a privately owned, family run B2B manufacturing business, as they look to recruit a Business Development Lead. Our North-East head-quartered client specialises in manufacturing heavy duty bespoke products for a range of OEM clients across the construction, industrial and agricultural sectors. Role Profile:
- Reporting to the Commercial Director, the role will be responsible for helping identify new customers within the current client sectors
- Tasked with growing revenue for the UK manufacturing site through winning new business
- Be the voice of the client, providing product and market intel to the business on orders won and lost
- Identify growth accounts and a new business strategy across UK, US and Indian markets
- Eventually build a sales team to manage the entire new and existing customer database
Person Specification:
- Commercially astute with an analytical understanding of lead generation and lead tracking methods
- Hunter mentality with previous track record of winning new business and converting opportunities
- Strong relationship building skills in a B2B environment
- Experience in a tier 1/tier 2 manufacturing supply chain sales role working with larger OEMs would be advantageous
- Previous experience in setting up a sales team with business development and account management structures
- Based in the North-East with the ability to work from the site in Gateshead
