PR Account Director
This is an opportunity for a digitally-savvy PR Account Director to join one of the most entrepreneurial and forward-thinking boutique PR consultancies in the North West. As PR Account Director, you will be given the opportunity to run and develop a growing team and work with a real varied range of clients in various sectors.
Working closely with the senior team, you'll be involved in running an already successful team of account executives and managers, and ensuring all work targets for clients are delivered on time and efficiently. You will be working on a range of B2B and consumer clients so the role will involve client management where you will need to maintain a high understanding of client's businesses and will keep abreast of new developments in their markets/industries to use this to the client's advantage. Strategy and planning is an important part of the role, as you'll be responsible for the overall strategy on your accounts, so expect to be offering strategic input and help, planning campaigns, and developing PR and social media strategies to a high standard. In addition, you'll be sharing company and account insight, and contributing towards budget management, and will be accountable for profitable retention, account growth, and new business.
This agency mixes traditional and digital PR together and while digital skills are not essential, a prior understanding of social media, Google Analytics and SEO would be handy for some of their accounts.
What we're looking for
5-6 years' experience directing client accounts within an agency environment (PR, digital/ content or communications agency experience would be handy) as well as an ability to oversee the seamless transition of briefs in a collaborative environment. A background and record of developing client accounts in the B2B sector is pretty much essential for this role and would also suit someone who is more than happy to get stuck into all tasks and be on hand to develop more junior team members.
Needless to say, this role is a senior-level role and previous experience of working in an agency is very important. You need to be a confident communicator when it comes to presenting proposals both, internally and externally, and previous management experience is also essential as you will be responsible for managing a team of account executives and will be leading by example. Experience of reporting and handling budgets and attracting new business is also imperative as you will be attending networking events where you will represent the agency and will help with presenting in new business pitches. Overall you will enjoy working in a close-knit environment which has an eagle eye quality and leading by example through a positive and calm attitude.
