ABOUT THE ROLE

This role involves leadership of the company’s marketing, communications and business development strategy, programmes and people. You will work closely with other members of the leadership team to identify new business opportunities, ensuring that the company has effective and efficient support tools – including targeting/sales campaigns, communications activity and bid support. You will lead marketing communications activity, across all media, to ensure that the firm’s brand is built in an engaging and consistent way. You will manage delegated budget and report on key performance indicators.

Role Responsibilities

  • Define, review and refine Devono Cresa’s strategic approach to marketing, communications and business development with a clear focus on the development of profitable new income. 
  • Lead the marketing team to ensure the delivery of the company's plans
  • Ensure personal development needs of the marketing team are identified and addressed
  • Work with business development leaders in the company, to help build their skills and effectiveness in an increasingly competitive market
  • Grow the company’s capacity to win profitable, new and long-term work through formal bids and tenders
  • Work with other department heads to develop DeVono Cresa’s approach to client relationship management
  • Build a programme of client and prospect events, showcasing DeVono Cresa’s industry and sector understanding and as an integral part of our approach to client relationship management
  • Act as custodian of the company's brand, working with the Head of People and Premises to ensure a clear and consistent link with the company values
  • Lead the development of market communications strategy for the company, focusing on priority markets
  • Develop the firm’s communication tools so that they provide engaging support for the brand as well as clear client and market communications
  • Work with the Finance team to ensure delivery of the Marketing budget, in accordance with company plans

 Experience

  • Significant business to business marketing experience in a performance driven environment (including property sector or professional services)
  • Working as part of a senior management team 
  • Well - developed understanding of the sales cycle, with emphasis on new business and procurement-led bid management


Desirable qualifications

  • Degree (or appropriate post-graduate qualification) in Marketing or wider business discipline
  • Professional marketing qualifications (CIM or other EMCQ accredited qualification) and / or Chartered Marketer

    Commitment: Planned to be 0.5/0.6 FTE (exact working pattern to be agreed with successful candidate)
