Content Marketing Manager
A brand new role has just landed, and it's with a trailblazer of a company that is very much marketing-led and one of the reasons why they're looking to expand their marketing team even further and hire a Content Marketing Manager.
When you hear insurance, you may be guilty of thinking that the subject matter is a bit dry - but, these guys aren't like that at all! They take a fresh approach to the market and prefer to focus on the subjects they insure, rather than the insurance itself. And the products they insure vary enormously. Over the past few years, they grown significantly and organically, expanding the marketing team of 3 to 19. They have also recently taken the plunge and decided to take all digital in-house, hence why they're looking to hire a Content Marketing Manager. That's hopefully where you step in!
In may seem obvious, but content is at the heart of this role, and you'll take responsibility for developing and delivering the outreach and content marketing strategy, with the overall aim being to drive SEO performance, increase online visibility, and drive traffic. The role sits between the SEO and PR departments, and you'll be working with both deliver SEO focused creative campaigns, manage social media output, build media and influencer relationships to generate coverage and links, and create performance reports. Of course, you'll also be continually making sure that your efforts align nicely with the overall marketing and SEO strategy.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who has gained similar experience to that which is mentioned above. Perhaps you're already in content marketing, perhaps you've gained experience in a more overall digital role, or perhaps you're in a PR role but now want to focus more on the content side of things, either way, if you're confident with content marketing, SEO, outreach, and communications, then we'd be keen to hear from you. What is most important is your command of the English language, it's got to be top-notch (please don't judge our job ad too harshly), and you'll need to have experience in building lasting relationships with journalists, influencers, and bloggers, as well as experience of managing social media accounts, and analytics. Personality-wise, you'll need to take the same fresh-approach as the company does, not afraid to ask questions, pitch ideas, and pick up the phone. Also, if you strive for continuous improvement, then that's a good sign.
