PR and Communications Co-ordinator
We have a great opportunity for an experienced (in-house or agency), bright, enthusiastic PR professional to join us on a permanent basis. The role is based in our Bristol office, a stone’s throw away from Bristol Temple Meads.
You’ll be joining a team that genuinely loves working in PR, and thrives on the challenge of regularly securing national, broadcast, sector and legal press coverage. The good news is that we have some of the brightest lawyers in the country – genuine leaders in the firm’s chosen sectors and specialisms – and a range of fantastic business services teams, all of whom have compelling stories to be promoted in the media.
As our PR and Communications Co-ordinator, we can promise you that you’ll:
- Have the chance to pitch a range of stories to the media;
- Gain exceptional insight into legal PR: how to spot issues, draft quotations and manage relationships with the firm’s key stakeholders, lawyers and the media;
- Have access to all the latest media systems, which means you’ll be well placed to succeed;
- Be recognised and respected as a professional and an expert in your field.
Yes, you’ll have to do some admin, including being involved in legal directory submissions, but this will help you get to grips with the work we do and life at a law firm. The dynamics of working at a law firm are unique. However, the rewards are great.
You’ll also get to work at a firm whose culture and values are core to all we do: from all of the fantastic internal events that we run, to the genuinely worthwhile volunteering activities available. We promise it’s a firm and a work life like no other.
Technically, you’ll already have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with strong administrative, planning and organisational abilities. Previous experience of working in a busy environment with conflicting demands and competing priorities is essential. Legal sector knowledge is preferable but not a prerequisite …. we can teach you that!
Our six core values – Ambition, Collaboration, Commitment, Fairness, Quality and Respect - are at the heart of everything we do and help to shape our unique culture. As well as high quality work and exciting development opportunities, we offer our people a professional, friendly and sociable working environment with a real sense of community.
