They are masterminds behind high quality and profit-generating conferences, exhibitions, roadshows and awards ceremonies for publishers, trade associations, the educational and public sectors, and the digital and communications industries.
In essence, you will be tasked with developing and implementing their marketing strategy in line with the business's growth targets & lead a small team comprising of a Digital Marketing Manager, Marketing Exec and Content Executive. You will oversee strategy for multi-channel marketing campaigns - digital marketing, email, events, CRM, direct mail and social media and activities across key business segments and markets. This will also entail the creation of content for website, blog, white papers and marketing materials & management of an annual marketing budget. You will also work closely with the Sales Director to maximise lead generation on owned events, client events and sponsorship & with senior creatives to maximise effectiveness of campaign artwork. As expected you will be an active and productive member of the senior leadership team including producing monthly reports for board meetings & carry out regular competitor and SWOT analysis. You will also be responsible for brand implementation and development across all key areas within the business & deliver high quality levels of customer service in keeping with their brand, values and ethos.
What we're looking for
A structured career path to date as well as a relevant degree or marketing qualification and a minimum of five years working within a B2B marketing role. It may suit a marketing manager looking for the next step up with experience of running a team, driving awareness campaigns, and enjoys getting stuck in, from idea to delivery. Your experience will have been in gained an agency or in-house environment, and exposure to events will be advantageous. It is also vital that you have experience of working closely with sales & creative teams to achieve commercial objectives & have a solid understanding of the importance in driving ROI from marketing activity. A broad understanding of digital marketing is also important as is a high standard of interpersonal skills & solid knowledge of CRM and email marketing coupled with the ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position, resulting in stable, consistent, reliable and courteous communications with all parties. There is travel involved & sometimes overseas so flexibility is important along with solid business acumen, management, leadership and problem-solving skills
