Unusual opportunity to focus on multi-country social/public sector studies. In the context of globalisation and global social governance, social research can no longer confine itself to national boundaries and our client’s international social research practice has embraced this, growing rapidly in the last few years and now looking to expand further.

Most of their projects are large scale – working with EU28 and beyond covering both industrialised and industrialising countries, as well as fragile and conflict-affected states, which means a lot of collaboration with colleagues throughout the world. Clients are across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors including the European Commission, the UN and its agencies, multilateral institutions and agencies, international financial institutions, foundations and NGOs.

They seek a researcher with a solid understanding of quant social research methods including sampling to play a key role in delivering a variety of high profile cross-national surveys. You will be familiar with using different data collection modes - face-to-face, CATI, online and will be keen to get involved with survey design, with a focus on random probability survey methodologies. Any SPSS, SAS, Stata or R skills will be highly valued and developed. If you have language skills in addition to English, this will be the perfect environment to use and enhance them.

You will need to be passionate about the wider world and different cultures and with such an international focus, there will be the occasional opportunity for travel. You will enjoy working in a creative, busy, open and supportive environment within a house of influentials.
