I am seeking an experienced Customer Marketing Analyst to work for this multi award-winning marketing agency, with a strong heritage in creative data analytics and direct marketing.

Please bear in mind, although this is a contract role, there is a high chance of the role going perm or being extended beyond the 1 year term. Regardless, we would encourage even those in permanent employment to consider this role, given the opportunity to diversify one's skills and work within one of the largest data marketing teams in the UK. You will also be working amongst award winning data leaders and peers, to deliver cutting edge analysis for this huge client.

This particular client outsource all their analytics to this agency with 45 people in total working on the account, so this is the closest you can get to work 'client side' within an agency environment - you get the best of both worlds with no pitch work and complete ownership of work. You will also be working with the largest marketing database in the UK, with records from every household and almost every business.

This client is about to embark on a marketing transformation project whereby the existing Campaign Management system (CMS) will be replaced with a new market leading system and data management solution. And whilst they currently use SAS as the analytics tool, this will also be changed out for a new tool - likely R or Python.

The data is broad, complex, rich and unique, which requires a particular type of approach and way of thinking; intellectually curious, strong attention to detail and autonomous. There will be lots of exploratory insights work as well as campaign reporting, data discovery, campaign performance analysis and reporting, and they do some modelling.

The data discovery work they do covers a wide range of things from understanding new feeds of data, through to investigating new trends in campaign performance.

SALARY - £50k - £55k plus excellent benefits



  • Educated to degree level in a numerate subject
  • Proven experience of working in an agency in a CRM analytics or customer insight role
  • Strong programming skills using SQL and EITHER R, Python, SAS or SPSS
  • Skilled in statistical analytics, leveraging techniques such as segmentation, logistic regression and CHAID modelling, manipulating large transactional database to derive insights
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with clients and internal colleagues
