Wisley is the RHS Flagship Garden, attracting over one million visitors to the century old garden in Surrey, where a new chapter is unfolding with over £40 million being invested into the site. Set against the backdrop of 240 acres of stunning landscaped gardens, the Events Coordinator will assist with booking and delivering a host of exciting and varied private events from weddings, to drinks receptions, product launches, photoshoots and parties. This role will also assist on occasion with the public events programme.
You will use your excellent time management skills to respond promptly to all enquiries, booking and undertaking showrounds for prospective clients and helping to secure new and repeat bookings. Using your impeccable attention to detail, you will keep all event documentation up to date and will be responsible for administrative duties including invoicing. It is important in the role to build strong and lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of private events at Wisley. Using your knowledge of social media, you will help to keep websites and social media channels up to date to increase awareness of RHS Garden Wisley as a venue and ensure the private events continue to support the charitable aims of the Society as a whole. With your proactive approach, you will identify opportunities to maximise revenue, continuing to build on the successes of the previous years and helping the private events at Wisley to grow. The role involves frequent evening and weekend working, and as such demands a hands-on and positive attitude at all times.
