Job Role
We have an exciting job opportunity for a Media Officer to join the fundraising media team. Working on communications led initiatives within the BHF's fundraising directorate, you'll play a key role communication actively for key fundraising areas such as events (e.g. the BHF cycling and running portfolio), mass participation campaigns (DECHOX) corporate partnership relationship and special events (Beating Hearts Ball)

You'll emotionally and creatively communicate the need for donations to help fund lifesaving research and support the team to deliver engaging and innovative campaigns.

About you

Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, you'll be talented at finding creative ways to tell stories and bringing these to life using case studies and statistics.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:
* A solid understanding of current fundraising issues, experienced in working on a variety of campaigns.
* Previous experience of working in a media or communications environment
* The ability to grow strong relationships with colleagues across the fundraising directorate quickly.
* An understanding of the power of PR and have first-hand experience of placing a variety of stories in national, consumer and broadcast press.

As an enthusiastic media professional, you'll also have superb interpersonal and management skills coupled with strong press office experience. You'll be able to write fluently and persuasively for a range of audiences, as well to juggle a variety of tasks while working under pressure to deliver a first class service.
