If so, you could be the Development Manager we need.
About the role
We're looking for a Development Manager to ensure that we are a leader in philanthropic fundraising, able to make a real impact with the vital research that we fund.
We've recently made some big decisions in terms of growth, looking to increase the investment from philanthropic funds, so it's an exciting time to be a part of our growing team as we lead the way and there's lots of growth potential here at the BHF and particularly in this role, which you can shape and make your own.
Yours will be a varied, donor led role in which you'll get a view of the bigger picture, with an opportunity to meet with visiting scientists to better understand their work.
Looking after warm and cold contacts, you'll play a key role in maximising our engagement levels and focus on gifts of £50k +, you'll develop compelling proposals for donors, working with existing individuals while also growing your network.
We're looking for someone with the confidence to get out there and build networks and who has the ability to make things happen. External experience and the ability to hit the ground running would be ideal, but relevant transferable skills will certainly be considered.
* Motivated and able to influence
* Experienced in working with high net worth individuals and securing 5 and 6 figure gifts
As well as being a team player, you'll also need to have:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* The ability to develop creative and insight led supporter journeys to maximize the opportunities for support of the BHF
In return we offer a generous benefits package including flexible working, healthcare cover, dental plan, subsidised gym membership and substantial annual leave.
We research all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart disease, Stroke, Vascular Dementia, Diabetes and many more. All connected, all under siege. Because our research is the promise of future cures and treatments.
