What will I be doing?

You will analyse data, generate meetings, surface opportunities and close sales against specific criteria within the DACH region. The role is to protect past revenue spend and to build the annual spend in the customer. To act as first point of contact for clients/customers in the region and to maintain and develop the customer database system for existing and potential clients.

Main duties and responsibilities:

This role sits within the Sales Team supporting a dedicated client division within the DACH region. This Sales team contributes to the overall success of the business by developing and growing revenue.

Sales

  • Works in partnership with the Head of Ireland, DACH/ROE Partner Markets to execute on the divisional strategy to meeting the sales targets for the quarter and budget year.
  • Uses contact management system and data analysis to book and attend meetings (virtual).
  • Outbound follow-up on marketing campaigns/product promotions aligned to campaign guidelines to achieve desired outcomes.
  • This could also include seeking feedback on product features and benefits.
  • Qualifies, develops, and manages a pipeline of leads, quotes and prospects by monitoring and recording client activity in area of responsibility to meet specific targets and key performance indicators.
  • Qualify and develop incoming leads and new business opportunities from sources within and outside company.
  • Qualify and develop relationships/opportunities, and escalate to Head of Ireland, DACH/ROE Partner Markets if appropriate.
  • To maintain regular phone contact with customers in defined area of responsibility, exhibiting service-centred approach and follow-up.
  • Take accountability for developing and maintaining own product and service knowledge.
  • Manage and maintain client records on the relevant business systems for existing and potential clients within designated region.
  • Recording activity to ensure that the company can support customers effectively.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team on outgoing campaigns and follow up with clients post campaigns.

Service

  • Support debt and payment chasing, including chasing unpaid invoices and PO queries for specific clients within sector if required by Credit Control team.
  • Capturing competitor intelligence on behalf of Marketing.
  • Gathering market opinion on specific service-related areas, in conjunction with Marketing.
  • Provide ideas for service improvements.

Support

  • Work in partnership with the Head of Ireland, DACH/ROE Partner Markets to provide sales activity reports and data analysis.
  • Track customer buying behaviour (large product orders, frequency of training bookings, etc).
  • Flag large sales or activities of interest to the Head of Ireland, DACH/ROE Partner Markets.
  • Epicor and Salesforce CRM maintenance for records in defined client territory.
  • Making sure that records are up to date through contacting customers and cleansing data where necessary.
  • To carry out other such duties as may reasonably be required, commensurate with the grade of this post.

What skills and experience are required?

  • Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) telephone sales environment.
  • Track record of achieving targets.
  • Experience of working with sales processes and using a CRM database.
  • Experience of interpreting client’s needs and identifying appropriate solutions.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Collaborative working style.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Advanced questioning skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Self-starter.

This is offered initially as a permanent 12-month contract. Fully remote working considered.
