Job description

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global FMCG business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Schick, Hawaiian Tropic, Banana Boat… just to name a few!).   The role is directly responsible for Japan Mens' segment products (System and Shave Preps) 100MM+ sales with 2 direct reports.  The Marketing Manager will lead Mens System Shaving's on-going business and long term strategy development as core business for Schick Japan in order to achieve sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Business Development:

  • On-going Business Development includes all Consumer Marketing Activities, Shopper Marketing Activities, and P&L Management
  • Brand Management - Strengthen Brand Equity of No.1 Company
  • Promotional Management - Execute with Flexibility
  • P&L Management - Manage Management Expectation
  • ROI Management - Improve ROI behind solid review
  • PDCA - Holistic Review to identify insight – for better actions
  • Work closely with the Global Team to drive the business
  • Long Term Strategy Development includes Future New Product Development, Adjacency development, and New Category Exploration


Organization & People Development:

  • Lead Mens Segment Team (2 direct reports) to deliver MORE with LESS – creating synergy, while keep engaging and motivating people to execute on time
  • Positively Influence Multi-Functional Team (Particularly for Global Team, and Sales Team) to get required support in order to get required support for driving Japan business, while strengthening relationship
  • Skill and People Development for 2 direct reports


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Prior marketing experience with international FMCG brands, especially Men's Skincare products, is highly preferred
  • Leadership: Lead Team – Define Future, Engage & Motivate Team to make positive changes
  • Strategic Thinking: Consider all available information to identify way to achieve objective
  • Critical Thinking: To be ready to make decision
  • Analysis: Gather Information, Define Business Insight

  • Execution: Make it Happen against any challenges on time
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Japanese

This is a permanent position based in Tokyo and we are offering a competitive salary.
