Job title: Shopping Centre Manager

Location: Sheffield

This is an exciting role to manage a small but key retail destination in Sheffield and the flagship site in the owner's portfolio, only 2 years old since development. Your key responsibility will be to create and deliver the events, marketing and advertising strategy to attract footfall to the centre and support tenants in their most crucial first few years of trade. You will also be accountable for securing additional revenue for the centre through events, concessionary space and commercial partnerships.

The business is a small, family-owned, entrepreneurial developer within the shopping centre sector, always looking to progress internal talent to new sites or multi-site management roles. They reward hard work and have a genuinely inclusive, hardworking, ambitious culture.

The Centre Manager will initially be required to work most Saturdays. A typical working week is Tuesday to Saturday, with one Saturday / full weekend off per month. The position offers a competitive salary, with additional bonus incentives. Holidays will be 24 days per annum plus statutory holidays.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of security and cleaning staff.
  • Retail tenant liaison, support and gathering trade feedback.
  • Establish good working relationships with key stakeholders, local businesses and potential sponsors and attend meetings as necessary. Work with the local community including local schools, charities and community groups.
  • Manage and control the overall budget, making savings wherever possible whilst maintaining high standards.
  • Manage and control all Health & Safety. Maintain high standards on centre with all aspects of general maintenance and upkeep. Manage waste and recycling on the centre.
  • Work closely with the in-house PR team and graphic designer to deliver a strong marketing campaign strategy for the centre.
