Internal Communications Manager
Property Developer in South Staffordshire is looking for their first Internal Communications Manager.
This Internal Communications Manager position is a brand new role within the company. Following successful expansion over the last five years, they now need an internal communications function that will support their large employee numbers and help cement their status as one of the region's most successful property developers. You will focus on creating an internal communications strategy that will reach employees at every level, from fort lift truck drivers on building sites to the board of directors, so you'll need to find ways to reach people at every level, in an environment where not everyone has access to a computer. After reviewing the current, rather ad-hoc, internal comms systems, you'll pitch new ideas to the management, who will provide the support to make sure that these visions are realised. They recognise that there is a real need for an Internal Communications Manager and will welcome the added input that a specialist can provide. This will hopefully include a better intranet, award ceremonies, mentoring schemes, professional development strategies, newsletters and staff competitions, to name but a few.
What we're looking for
If you are an experienced internal communications professional, we'd love to see your CV. As this company are very keen on employee development, they are open to considering applications from Executives earning around £25k, who show real promise, a willingness to learn and a sound understanding of the internal communications function. You'll need to be an excellent writer and have the confidence to pitch ideas at board level. Equally, applications from more experienced professionals are just as welcome. This is a purely internal communications role, so we're looking for someone with a track record of handling internal communications for large employee numbers, ideally with experience of implementing new strategies from scratch, bringing with them a strong knowledge of budgeting. There will be some UK travel involved, so you must have your own car.
