About the role:

Collinson require a dedicated European resource to proactively recruit, manage and maximize the merchandising opportunities for the SmartEarn platform with local e-commerce retailers, and provide all local language customer service and operational support in multiple markets, including France, Spain, Germany, Holland and others.  A proactive e-commerce operator with the ability to be both merchant and client facing is needed to represent the product proposition throughout Europe and to help support local language customer servicing requirements.  The role suits an ambitious person, with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with the existing UK team to align global product strategy and provide scalable support to other European operational activities, with a focus on UK.  A language capability for one of our key markets is strongly preferred.

It is expected that the role will be located in the UK London office, with potential for meetings in Spain / Europe 3-4 times per year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acquiring and maintaining ecommerce merchants for multiple European markets through direct relationships and via local affiliate networks
  • Develop merchant value story in conjunction with global team and clients / partners
  • Managing all merchant content, including writing and/or managing descriptions published in Spanish, French, Italian, German and Dutch to front end customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with external affiliate networks and merchants
  • Negotiating commission deals with networks and merchants to maximise merchandising opportunities and revenue
  • Updating client site content using product CMS / Admin tools (non-technical)
  • Managing promotional content – network emails, promotions, banners and commission changes
  • Producing reports and case studies for senior managers, clients and partnership organisations
  • Supporting client marketing activities and searching opportunities for communications slots
  • Transactional & merchant administration duties across all clients and to support financial reconciliation & client reporting processes
  • Managing member support enquiries directly or via clients
  • Local language Operations support activity (where relevant), and ability to cover staff holiday / sickness and peak transaction periods for other regions

Skills and Experience:

  • Awareness of multiple European market affiliate marketing and general e-commerce knowledge
  • Fluent Spanish / French / German or Dutch speaker strongly preferred – strong English also required
  • Ideally experience and knowledge of Affiliate Marketing and related digital marketing activities
  • Technically literate, although deep technical expertise not required
  • Commercially oriented with an international mind-set
  • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills and a customer orientated approach are very important
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
