As the Senior Marketing Manager for a thriving financial services brand, you will be No2 to the Marketing Director, responsible for leading the acquisition marketing capability and owning a multi-channel direct marketing programme. At your disposal will be a £7m annual campaign expenditure which will have a strong lean towards DRTV, which is used to drive traffic to the company's website which then successfully converts into paying customers.
This is going to be a very trading focused role, keeping a close eye on daily, weekly and monthly sales - keeping a close eye on marketing channel attribution - where there are coming from, where opportunities to improve performance exist. As well as managing the agency relationship, pushing and challenging them to successfully deliver to business expectations.
This role really needs someone with a solid analytical and numerical aptitude, notably because of needing to really dig into those performance results - but also have enough resilience and attention to detail to get into the details around issues, identifying the 'how' and 'why' of campaigns in-flight and looking at results achieved. Then using this information to optimise performance, driving ever better and more efficient CPA rates.
Towards the end of this year will also be a major project supporting the relaunch of one of their brands. Direct Marketing and notably DRTV channel work will be a major support to this. So you will have a very active role supporting the brand's growth in market.
You will have a couple of reports supporting you in all of this too. Both with great potential and will be looking to you to give them direction and support their career growth and development.
The business you will be joining is going through really solid growth at the moment. Scaling their customer base and acquiring market share from competitors as well as new customers who haven't considered taking up this type of proposition before.
The team around you outside of your direct reports will be brand biased, and your campaigns will both leverage off their efforts as well as dovetail in where appropriate opportunities exist.
The business is looking for someone who has career goals to grow into a Marketing Director position in a couple of years too, so can learn from the Director to round out their skills into the brand side too, and then will be able to step up into the divisional lead role further down the line.

Role: Senior Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition
Location: Peterborough - parking available onsite
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 (based on experience)

- Direct Marketing background with an understanding of DRTV to consumer audiences
- Line management experience, running a small team
- Agency or client side experience welcome - so long as you have the prerequisite direct marketing credentials
- Experience within a regulated industry would be beneficial, but not absolutely necessary
- Analytical and numerical, keen eye for detail and optimising channel performance
- Marketing attribution knowledge - optimising CPA rates and driving performance results through marketing techniques
- Have owned agency relationships - their performance, and managing things including incentives and bonuses based on performance
- Must have the necessary visas to live and work in the UK - sponsorship cannot be provided.
