PR Account Managers / PR Account Directors
Specialist communications agency is looking for experienced Senior PR Account Managers / PR Account Directors to join their growing team, after a company expansion.
Due to the investment in infrastructure happening here in Birmingham, this well-established, multi-sited PR and communications agency, based in one of the premier addresses in the city, is now expanding further. Consequently, they need Senior PR Account Managers / PR Account Directors to both works on new and existing accounts, and help them to establish and confirm their presence as they expand. The main responsibilities of this role will be to manage client relationships, accounts, and budgets, deliver on projects and campaigns, contribute to business development and growth, manage junior team members, represent the company at industry network events, and deliver timely programmes to achieve client objectives and project/campaign outcomes. You would also be expected to act as a guardian for the agency’s culture and brand, and to endeavour to articulate and promote their values, brand position, and quality standards. This particular client is a specialist within infrastructure, and they have many high –profile Birmingham based clients on their books.
What we’re looking for
You should have considerable experience of working in a PR and communications consultancy, preferably at PR Senior Account Manager level or equivalent, and, given the nature of the role, it is essential that you understand and have considerable experience of community and stakeholder engagement. You will need knowledge of day-to-day consultancy practices, communications, consultation, and engagement tools and applications, media and social media management, stakeholder engagement and consultation, and public affairs and political structures. Specific infrastructure and development sector experience would be advantageous and knowledge of planning legislation and procedures and knowledge of the construction industry would be very useful. On top of this, you should have excellent interpersonal, client management, budget management, new business, writing and media relations, and team working skills, as well as ambition, motivation, tenacity, attention to detail, and enthusiasm.
