Reed Marketing and Creative are seeking a Communications Officer to lead our Taunton based client’s internal and external communications strategy, enhance brand image, and ensure messaging is clear and effective. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing strategic communications plans, managing media relations, and overseeing the production of all marketing materials.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic communications plan.
• Manage media relations and work to maximize media opportunities.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of all marketing materials and communications, including press releases, brochures, and online content.
• Monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies and provide reports.
• Ensure message consistency across various departments within the organisation.
• Proactively handle public relations issues and anticipate potential areas of concern.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in a communications role.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in digital marketing and social media platforms.
• Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
